Astonish Oven & Cookware Cleaning Paste is a UK-heritage multi-purpose abrasive paste formulated with gentle mineral abrasives (no harsh chemicals disclosed in detail). The 150g (5.3 oz) tub uses a thick paste consistency designed for ovens, stovetops, cookware, glass, ceramic, tile, and stainless steel.
How it works: Dampen a sponge or cloth, apply a small amount, scrub with circular motions, and rinse thoroughly. Best for baked-on grease, burnt oil, and food splatters.
Who it's for: Home cooks and kitchen cleaners seeking a versatile, no-gloves-needed paste. Marketed as vegan and cruelty-free (Queen's Award for Enterprise recognition).
Key trade-offs: Effective on many surfaces but explicitly warns against non-stick coatings, polished metals, and brushed stainless steel—limiting its true "all-purpose" claim. Requires thorough rinsing and scrubbing effort on tough jobs. Moderate review velocity and community buzz relative to category leaders like The Pink Stuff or Bar Keepers Friend.
